"My desire to learn how to play the harp came later in life. Choosing Michelle as my harp teacher was one of the best decisions I have made. She immediately recognized that I need lessons structured differently from her students who have professional aspirations. I feel really special having the one-on-one lessons designed just for me...I have been learning a lot and having fun!"

"One of my great joys is teaching harp to children."

Learning to Play the Harp
Michelle Sell has been a harp teacher for more than twenty years. Her students range from age 6 through adult; from beginners to advanced. She is an alumna of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as well as having served on their faculty. Michelle welcomes anyone's interest in any area of harp study, whether it be classical, pop, jazz, or composition. Playing the harp is one of those things that many people dream of doing. Taking weekly or biweekly lessons is very affordable. If you would like to take lessons and/or have a harp with which to practice in your own home, Michelle can arrange your rental for you. Michelle teaches in her studio, but if you wish harp lessons in your own home or studio, that can be arranged, too.
The harp is one of the most exciting instruments - if not the most exciting instrument - to learn to play. Immediately upon touching a single string, you will sense the vibration of a note in your fingertips, and when plucked, hear that note caressing your ear. Just wait until you can really play! |
